Leaks and Blockages
Leaks and worst still- blockages might be perceived as the frustration of every ones life. A blocked drain, sink or at worst toilet can make even the most tolerant of us irate. Don't worry help is at hand and if you call we will do our best to resolve your situation. Should you call Andrew round but due to prevailing circumstances I am unable to sort you out I will not give you an invoice.
If however you are reading this and want to know how to avoid getting any sort of blockage in the first place follow theses simple tips:
1. Your waste pipes are only supposed to predominantly carry waste water, not household rubbish!
2. Try to only allow liquids to flow down your drains.
3. Don't let lumpy food and solids go down the sink or basin.
4. Un-cooked vegetable waste can be composted.
5. Do not pour either cooking oil or grease down the sink. Eventually you will get a build up of white fatty near solid grease lining your waste water pipes, this leads to a blockage.
6. Either mop up cooking oil with old newspaper, and bin it or, pour grease or cooking oil into old jars or tins and bin those.
7. Try to avoid using chemical drain cleaners. Apart from being environmentally suspect they can wreak havoc with inside of your waste pipes.
8. Still stuck ... Phone us! We'll do the best we can.
"Leaks" Some simple tips:
1. Place a temporary container of a suitable size under your leak
2. If you don't already know, find out where your main incoming stop tap is. If appropriate turn off the water supply.
3. Get the problem resolved- sooner than later.
4. Even the smallest of drips and leaks can, if left unchecked, cause the most horrific damage. The repair cost spent today will pail into insignificance if you leave it to go on and on for years- this comes from witnessed experienced!
